This project focuses on Wolverhampton’s SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators) and how to develop a network where they can learn good practice from each other with an active Teams page to share information. As well as Voice4Parents, there are professionals from IASS, Educational Psychology, Outreach and Inclusion officers. A training program is available (at no cost to schools) for all of the city’s new-in-post SENCOs. The uptake for this has been very high and Voice4Parents contribute to the sessions on relationships between the SENCO and parent/carers which is informed by the feedback we receive from members – we use your views and experiences to teach SENCOs what works well, what doesn’t and what to do when things go wrong.
